NEW YORK MESOTHELIOMA LAWYER REPORTS TROUBLE FOR TROY

New York Mesothelioma Lawyers reported a trouble for Troy. The trouble is regarding the harmful fiber called asbestos which is responsible for some deadly diseases including the incurable mesothelioma. The major source of these fibers is the demolished old buildings which may contain a large amount of asbestos fibers and can spread these fibers in air on demolition. There are certain rules and regulations that must be followed when removing asbestos and when demolishing building that contain asbestos. According to New York Mesothelioma Lawyers these rules are aimed at the safety of workers and those in the nearby vicinity which on ignorance may lead to deadly results. There is very high compensation in mesothelioma lawsuits.

The demolition of buildings exposes the tiny asbestos fibers in to air. Inhalation of these fibers by humans results in lodging of these fibers in any one of the three major linings of the body (pleural, pericardial, and peritoneal) which in turn results in development of scar tissue. These tissues results in development of tumors in these areas which inhibits with the normal daily operations of human body. There are many ways of safe demolition of buildings containing asbestos which in turn is possible only if proper asbestos-handling precautions are taken.

The New York State Department of Labor recently issued three violations to the city of Troy, New York for demolition of the former Troy City Hall building before asbestos material had been removed. According to law the New York building owners have to perform a pre-demolition survey. In this survey the checking of asbestos fiber is done in the building which is to be demolished or renovated. If the asbestos material is found, a licensed asbestos abatement contractor is required to remove the asbestos prior to the renovation. In its notice for violation, the New York labor department inspector said that the city began demolition of the former Troy City Hall building before the abatement of identified asbestos ever took place.
